La lettura dell’ambiente urbano è compiuta attraverso uno sguardo “prospettico,” - che giustifica già di per sé la sua essenza creata da Leon Battista Alberti - che viene esasperato per accentuarne la percezione visiva. Al contempo, però, la prospettiva viene "appoggiata" ad uno dei lati dell'inquadratura per ritrovare un suo equilibrio.

Lo sguardo con il "naso all'insù" come fanno i bambini, scevri dai preconcetti e dalla "formazione" imposta dalla cultura corrente, rende queste immagini "libere" di raccontare una storia differente.

La prospettiva, che rappresenta la distanza fisica dall’occhio dell’osservatore al soggetto, è letta anche come distanza temporale.
